Lambada
Lambada

The original title "Llorando se fué" was composed by Ulyses Hermosa, the leader of Los Kjarkas, one of the most popular folklore groups in Bolivia.
.
In the late 1980s, "Llorando se fué" was plagiarized by the French group Kaoma and became an international hit called "Lambada" appeared in Brazil. More people know this song in the "Lambada" version than in the original sad and slow rhythm called "Saya".
.
Kaoma had not acknowledged the original group, and had not paid the Bolivian group any royalties. Following a trial, Kaoma had to pay compensation to Los Kjarkas. Although the courts have agreed with the Bolivian group, confusion remains in France and when the Latin American group performs "Llorando se fué", the public thinks they are performing "Lambada"...

I don't speak Portuguese and my translation is based on French, English and German... So thank you very much, by the way ! :)
