When you leave comments on other people's translations, is there an easy way to trackback to the page at a later date without using your browser's "favorites" or keeping some manual list of which pages you've been to?
Yes, there is. There's a list of all topics you've participated in on your profile page. Just click the 'topics' button (between 'comments' and 'votes'). :)
Not everyone wants to be subscribed automatically :)
There's no way to subscribe to a forum thread, but we're going to revise the notifications feature and enable forum subscriptions, too.
This applies also to articles and videos as well, which appear to fall off the back of the master list without any indexed access as well.

I wonder why there is no option of receiving an email notification in these cases - it would make it all much easier.
You can subscribe to pages you'd like to be updated about.
