A major problem that has been on the site for some time is that if the translation is not saved on the first attempt due to a VPN outage or any other error; the entire translation is deleted, and even the wrote text is not available in the site's memory for re-submition. And there's no way to find the

Hi,
Yes, we are aware of this. Admins added a 'Form autosaved' thing that saves whatever is input in either comment, song or translation forms - go to your drafts tab to check if anything's there. It pops up every now and then in the page whenever writing something.

I understand what you explained and mean, but my problem is something else.
The problem is that sometimes, exactly when I tap the submit button, an error occurs and the translated text is not saved anywhere. That is, neither by doing a back button, nor by refreshing, nor by reopening the translation page, there is nothing to be restored.
Perhaps it would be better if the system asked before submitting if you would like to save a copy in your draft. And if it creates a storage load for the site, you could set a time for it to be automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Or even just on the clipboare
I've had this happen to me too multiple times. I'll try to submit a translation, it loads for a while but then there's an error. The whole translation will then be lost and I can't restore it from anywhere
i experienced this too, got confused when whole my effort bubbled away
now i trained myself for a mechanism found by myself,
before i click on the SUBMIT button, i copy whole my translated text with my mouse
and if the aforementioned problem occurs, i use the backwards arrow, paste my text and submit (again)
this system delivered me 95% succes
but if the page blocks further about the submitting, i paste & send my translation to myself via PM
but it is not pleasant, that's for sure???
I never had this problem because I always do my translation in my PC, save it and only then copy it here.
As simple as that.
It can be a problem when you are on the verge of saving the translation especially if Internet coverage is not stable enough. If that's the case you'd better copy your work before save it on the site. In case of failing you can paste it on your second try easily. The Murphy's law does exist.
I always copy it before submitting so I can post it on my Telegram channel, but unfortunately this happens exactly when I forget to copy it, or in cases that translated text is long, and I usually give up on translating it again.
