Colour Wheel

There's a giant bitter land
Where guns and bombs have made their home
Vultures hover silently
Trodden paths tell different tales
Many passersby
Who leave their footprints in the ground

The broken earth will join again
When the summer rain returns
And the dusty haze will fade
In the colour wheel

Watch the vultures disappear
Still hungry for their prey
As the rivers wash the signs of war
When the grass is trampled down
It will stand back up in line
Here in the broken ground

The broken earth will join again
When the summer rain returns
And the dusty haze will fade
In the colour wheel

The broken earth will join again
When the summer rain returns
And the dusty haze will fade
In the colour wheel

Waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

I'm waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

The broken earth will join again
When the summer rain returns
And the dusty haze will fade
In the colour wheel

The broken earth will join again
When the summer rain returns
And the dusty haze will fade
In the colour wheel

Singled out and left to waste
The darkened sky holds no relief
Under the burning haze
Catch the sunlight in your eye
Breathe the air of paradise
Wait for the healing time

The broken earth will join again
When the summer rain returns
And the dusty haze will fade
In the colour wheel

Waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

I'm waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

I'm waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

I'm waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

I'm waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground

I'm waiting for the rain to fall
Call the colours into frame
Feed the root of paradise
Wash the dust into the ground...

Remember this song from my youth. Saw them live 1996 at sindelfingen glaspalast, stood first row wearing a split level tee in black with white print that my dad had bought me. The singer recognized the tee and pointed at me during a song. The same year i saw DC Talk live the first time. Their cds were great, but live they were a force of nature..
