My name is Kayla, but attached to the nickname Momo-chan. I'm an American who's studied Japanese for several years, dating a Japanese native, and surrounded by Japanese native friends. I don't pretend to be "fluent", but I'm oddly good at reading the language. To be fair, I can't hear or speak English exceedingly well either, but when I read and write, it's many levels above that. Over the years, I started getting into more and more City Pop (like many poor souls), Japanese music from the 70s and 80s, etc., and finding no lyrics. Being that I was already translating manga and games, it became a passing interest to do the same to some of my favorite songs. Hopefully one does not take offense to my translations, I put a lot of work into them, pull advice/context from natives, and really try to make it accurate, but also flow to the beat of the song still ^,^
