Runar
Runes
You should learn speech-runes
to prevent those who may seek to answer you with harm and hate;
Wind and weave them around
and set them all around,
at the court
when justice is there people shall win fairly.

Hello, this is not the correct translation for this piece. This is a translation for the next stanza in the Poetic Edda.
Hey friend
No I'm 100% sure about the translation.
I use a source where you can have the original text next to the translation :) . Jackson Crawford's book is not sync with the original text and also I used a little of my knowledge in Old Norse for translation. (I'm still learning)
I hate to bear bad news but in my opinion, your translation is terribly wrong. Perhaps the source you used has their own, super-deep interpretation of the poem. I don't know what the people desires, a word-for-word approach or a super-super deep interpretation someone has translated it to. The others posted are more correct, albeit not 100% correct either in my opinion, as none of the words in the first line mentions "learn".
EDIT: I found the source you mention, and I recommend reading the commentators notes at the bottom: "11. Lines 3-6 look like an accidental addition, replacing two lines now lost...". The lines you have translated has been lost from the original poem appearently and it is certainly not the lines for this song.
I'm sorry for this but I feel like this translation deserves a 1-star. It is very, very wrong.
The source lyrics have been updated: 2nd verse, af > ef. Please review your translation.
