Assolutamente la stessa canzone (musica). E' dei tempi della Guerra Civile in Unione Sovietica (1917-1922). Quale delle due è più vecchia, lo ignoro. :*)

Borgo is the original song. I cannot understand why neither the russian nor the greek version do not mention that.
We have a similar case in Cyprus with the song " Ήταν πρώτη Απριλίου" ( the hymn of the nationalist organisation that fought against the British rule in Cyprus) where it is used ( as a parody??) a very well known american song. It was though something they have done in purpose ( perhaps)

But with "Borgo" this is not the case. I can only imagine that the song was very popular at some time and russian version came first and the greek one followed.

@ SpeLiAm i am sure we will laugh now if i tell you that the melody of Katyusha is the same with a...greek orthodox christian/religious song (!) Some Russian friends of mine, were quite shocked when i told them that :P What i am saying here is that the use of a melody of a certain song ( in the past) is most of times a polemical one. Not necessarily though. Perhaps it was just a great song they wanted to sing too...in...their own way ;)
