-Looking at the German, would it rather not mean 'there won't be a heaven for (much) long'? The way you expressed it means that there hasn't been a heaven in a long time.

Well, that's what the German line means, that there hasn't been one in a long time.
It's present tense but the "lang nicht mehr" is colloquial for "schon seit einer langen Zeit nicht mehr".
I just picked up on a couple of points:

I read these lines together, as in the flood burned the heaven? That said, I'm more inclined to trust the native speaker's reading of it. :)
"There is no heaven anymore since ages": This line would be understood perfectly, but it just sounds a little unnatural to me. Perhaps "There hasn't been a heaven for so long/such a long time"?
Nice work. Looking back on the previous one, I wonder why I replied only to the author's comments on "in dich" instead of giving more feedback.
I was actually gonna point that out in my initial proofread, but decided to dismiss it instead. I'm sure you're aware, dionysius, but I'd like to note to Sciera that "since" (within this context) should only refer to a concrete point in time, e.g., 'There hasn't been a heaven since the age of miracles', 'I haven't seen you since last week.', etc. We would otherwise use "for ages", "in ages" (and also those which were mentioned by dionysius) in this case. And though the German is expressed in the present, it's past in English. HOWEVER... and I'm not sure how our cousins overseas may use it, but we Americans tend to say things like "I haven't seen that movie since forever" or "I haven't been to this place since ages". This was one of the reasons why I decided not to 'correct' ya.
Ahh, yes, I'm from the UK, so there probably are continental differences! We would say "since forever" colloquially, and there are probably instances we'd say "since ages", but it just sounded unnatural to me. If it sounds natural to you, then it's o.k. in the translation! :)
I was unsure, too, as to how I could express that line. But if the way I did is correct at least in one of the main dialects of English, then I'll leave it that way.

If it were one sentence, it would need to be "deinen Himmel".
