The translation isn't exactly literal. Some words were chosen to convey the meaning better. This is a man who wants a girl that is in a relationship with someone who treats her badly.
In the first stanza he is singing to her. In the second he is singing to the guy in the abusive relationship, his rival.

Very nice translation. I always thought that the last lines - "Si no la quieres, déjala... Si no la quieres, déjala vivir en paz" were, in their repetition, like a play on "let her go, and live in peace", but also, "let HER live in peace", and I like that about it.
