1. não consegui descobrir como ficaria spike strip em português, mas são aqueles pregos presos num suporte de metal que são usados para furar pneus, costumam aparecer em filmes e jogos… Veja imagens: [1] e [2].
2. tight whip é uma gíria para se referir a um carro veloz, potente e, em geral, de luxo (caro).
3. a. b. c. d. há vários lugares chamados “Melrose”, aqui provavelmente se refere a algum estadunidense (veja uma lista).
4. não estou certo muito quanto ao significado desse verso…
5. em jogos de baseball.
