+ english is my native language, i have 23 years of lived experience speaking the atlantic canadian dialect. i also currently teach english as a second language to international students in canada.

+ i began studying french in elementary school (14 years ago) at the highest level available to me until i graduated high school. i completed the DELF 6 years ago with a B2 (upper intermediate) certification.

+ i started listening to kpop 9 years ago and slowly picked up korean through that, i would say that i have been functional in the language for 7 years. i scored level 3 (lower intermediate) on the final exam of a TOPIK II preparation course 5 years ago. i also lived in seoul as an exchange student at a SKY university 3 years ago and took the majority of my courses taught in korean.

+ over the years, i have also studied spanish, japanese, swedish, and malay to limited but significant extents. rather than learning these beginner languages, my language efforts are currently focused on improving my french to professional working proficiency as i hope to soon work in québec!
