Dolasila
A sorrowful young woman goes
Alone, she rides across those fields
The beautiful autumn colours vainly
Shine over your skin2
Heartbroken, you bore that burden
You played along for too long
You don't want to keep your word
To the one who loves you3
Dolasila, run from the war
Run from the war
Dolasila, run from the war
Run from the war
The gray cape of the evening descends
The shadows look terrifying
You gift away your silver arrows
You lost, princess4
Dolasila, run from the war
Dolasila, run
Dolasila, run from the war
Dolasila, run
Dolasila, run from the war
Dolasila, run
Dolasila, run from the war
Dolasila, run
Dolasila, run from the war
Run from the war
Dolasila, run from the war
Run from the war
Dolasila, run from the war
Run from the war

Run from the war
- 1. A legendary figure of Ladin mythology, Dolasila was the daughter of the king of the Fanes: a mythological population that Ladin legends tell ruled over the Dolomites. Dolasila was one of their greatest military leaders, equipped with an armour forged by dwarves from white fur and 13 silver arrows crafted from as many silver reeds plucked from a lake.
- 2. Probably refers to the fact that the dwarves who had forged her armour had warned Dolasila that the day it would change colour from white to alpenglow-red, she wouldn't win the following battle.
- 3. After the king of the Fanes had driven Ey de Net, Dolasila's husband, away from her in the hope she would follow him away from the battlefield, Dolasila had chosen instead to stay and fight by her army, despite all the omens foretelling her downfall were coming true one after the other.
- 4. Spina de Mul, a sorcerer leading the army of the enemy, had sent 13 demons disguised as children after Dolasila to take her silver arrows, so he could give them to the enemy archers instead. Frightened by the demons, Dolasila gave up the arrows, and with those same arrows, she was shot down on the battlefield during the last battle of the Fanes.
