I would translate "Ich steh auf Berlin" -> I dig Berlin
>"A glass of champagne is 150 Marks" should be: A bottle of champagne is 150 Marks
(they weren't overdoing it ... ;) )

for english people: Mariannenplatz is notoriously "red" --> painted or socialist/communist? I think is meant politically and I am not sure if english people is aware of.
