The Road
My struggle is made apparent with my wounds
I didn't keep myself away from you, my road-trip friend
With roads narrowing down, and not leading to your alleys
Let me go, so I don't stay inside of you
A whole life spent, thinking and thinking
Nothing is left of me, neither will it suffice for another
We always stayed silent, didn't take no action, and
Didn't stay beautiful like before
[chorus part 1]
Don't keep them, let them go, those who wanna leave
Won't even reply anymore to those who upset me
Can't even suggest anything to those who have lost me
Inflated [expired], won't fit in me [can't take it nomore]
[chorus part 2]
Don't keep them, let them go, those who wanna leave
Won't even reply anymore to those who upset me
Smiled at, before asking any question [testing a person]
Inflated [expired], won't fit in me [can't take it nomore]
Even if your pain that I'm used to, becomes a disaster in the end
Indeed the heart showers with love, an act of self-betrayal
[repeat chorus part 1]
[repeat chorus part 2]
It's a never-ending road for those who take it

Commenti dell’autore:
In languages where verbs have more than one meaning, poetry takes a unique shape, in which the reader/listener can appreciate multiple meanings. The word "doldu" can mean inflating something, or filling a glass, or filling one's lungs, or getting expired (=full of/out of validity).
