Ye! Those from chronicles, seals and herbs,
Beasts uncaring of grazing,
Uncaring of beast flesh, not umbrous by cloud,
Unburned by the sun; golden eagle, auroch,
With scepter and tiara--
I pray ye emerge!
Unto ye, heraldic beasts,
Ilk, of panther's ilk,
Prithee unicorn, prithee emerge!
Beasts of good and of bad favour,
Of which the hunter, if catches,
Catches but chaff and vapour,
But desiccation--fabled beasts,
Of ethical and of enthralling books,
I pray, ye to emerge!
Ye virtuous, thee spurious,
Serpent bark-bellied all-around,
Humanoid beasts, seed-of-seed,
Ilk of sirens, of the centaur,
With golden tongue, like of Chrysostom,
I pray, ye to emerge!
Mellow beasts, with myriad teeth,
Fish-tailed, with clawed fingers,
With goat's hoof, capitated, decapitated,
With fur like a beet, with eyes like glass,
With eyes like a werewolf, beasts with tact,
With suave scent, philosophical beasts--ave!
To pseudo-beasts I sing life-unlife,
Which does not disappear like melted ice,
Does not dispel into heaven like fog,
Nor rip like the thin thread,
Are want to wither like the wizen'd face,
And of flight, fly they elsewise than the duck,
Issue forth upon the earth not from an egg like the duck,
Whom do not graze on the meadow all daybreak,
But ever maintaining their grace and verdure,
Sacred and dulcet,
Because even life is not their life
I shall enchant and shall disenchant,
Ye invoke and ye evoke,
of fortune, of misfortune,
Basilisk and unicorn,
Asp and griffon.
To ye I cry, ye, summon,
Unicorn and basilisk,
Dolphin kith with eyes of sulfur,
Acolytes with Adelpha,
Thy sister, I bring you oblation.
And still I hold fast,
The bird Calandrinon,
Bird of yea or nay,
And so thee, thyself,
Scarab, my ladder.
I shall chant to you,
I shall cross you over the threshold,
I shall crow at sharp o'clock,
And could I forget the dear,
Emperor Finics!
Born again, only those with the gift
of rebirth, cleansed through embers,
From its own cinders and own ash,
Yesterday, and like tomorrow, now and ever.

This is an adjustment to omulînghețului's translation. Less musical, but closer to my interpretation of the original meaning.
