Hi
I have a small problem with line alignment, despite going over my translation several times to see where the problem is that the song's lines won't align with my translation's lines, I can't seem to find any. Can somebody help me fix it, please?

I think the main problem is the first verse in your translation (3 lines vs 4 lines in the lyrics). Add a line (you can just put a '.' in the beginning of the line so that the editor does not delete that line after saving the translation) at its end, and it should be ok.

I just created a 'fixed' version of that translation to show my points. I'm going to publish it after this message.

Please let me know when you are done so that I delete it.

Thanks a lot for your time! But it's still not working and they're still not aligned.
I really don't get it, as the two other translations are aligned with the song

I put the reformatted version of your translation here, and it seems to work. Did you add the extra line at the end of the verse one (line four from the beginning) with a single character (e.g. '.') in the beginning?

I can't see that extra line in your translation.

No at first I didn't, as I saw your version and the lines still weren't aligned. But I just did it anyway (adding a ".") and that didn't work either

Try and align the present formatting and remove the redundant “chorus” label.

Checked it. You actually did two things.

You broke the third line of the first verse into two lines, adding the needed extra line in the process. You should either create the extra line by breaking line three or add an extra empty line and put a single character in its beginning.

Doing both of them creates 'two' extra lines instead of the needed one. If you wish to keep this current format you won't need the 'empty' extra line. Just delete it.

It was not actually about "chorus' line, as it was working in my previous reformatted version. However, I did the modification for the new re-formatted lyrics and put the aligned translation  here.

They are now aligned! Thank you both for your help.

I never said that it was the “chorus” label causing the problem. It was just an additional modification.

Yes, I saw your version but it still didn't appear aligned as you said - I wanted to send an screenshot of your version for you to see, but one's not able to send pictures in here - so maybe there was a problem with my phone. Anyway "the chorus" thing and some random spaces here and there had made it so confusing and after removing them I was able to fix it (I wasn't sure if I was allowed to edit out the 'chorus' myself as there were too many translations to the song and had been aligned with it)

I never said you said that. I said "it was not actually about 'chorus' line" to point to the actual cause of the problem, so that the situation can be easily handled in similar cases . The problem was originally having a first translation part of 3 lines while the lyrics was 4 lines on that part (blank line after the third line seems to be removed by the translation editor box during saving the translation).

Well, it definitely looked aligned (before reformatting of the lyrics) to me, or I wouldn't say it was aligned to you.

BTW what people do here for posting images is using a third party image host (like imagur) to upload the image and post the link here.

Thanks for the image. The first line of the second verse in the lyrics seems to be broken into 3 lines. The corresponding line in the translation is broken into two lines. That means a 'missing line' in the translation.

Consequently, the next verse in the translation 'lags' the next verse (third verse) in the lyrics by one line. The breaking seems to be due to your phone's screen size. I didn't have that problem due to my screen size and everything looked fine to me. The image doesn't show the 'align paragraphs' button above the translation. But seems that button is off.

Anyway, I'm happy that it is ok now.
