Interests

I pretty much like to translate stuff.
I also like to study about other cultures like the Sámi of northern Europe, the various indigenous tribes of the Americas, and the people of the Pacific isles (Tongans, Hawaiians, Sāmoans, Māori, Rapa Nui, Tahitians, etc.)

About me

My Tongan translations and other translations that involves it are made in honor to my ancestors and is my way of keeping their memory, our memory, our lea (language) alive.

Some pointers in my translation styles:
- In general, I tend to translate more liberally unless stated in the Author's comments.
- Particularly in my Tongan translations, I try to avoid using foreign loanwords.
- I try to use the indigenous word of a country instead of the Lingua franca variant, i.e., "Deutschland" vs "Germany".
- In my Tongan translations, I utilize the archaic form of "J" instead of "S" for the sibilant sound.
