Tjena, trevligt att råkas! Hur står det till?

Without being too specific, I live in the center of Sweden, born and raised. I can understand almost 95% Norwegian and Danish by virtue of speaking Swedish (and some personal interest to learn the differences between the languages), but only while reading them. Spoken Danish I'm lost on lol

I studied Spanish for 4 years at school, but it's very rusty. I can only communicate basic things and say standard phrases. However, compared to German and French, I at least have an idea how the grammar and sentence structure is built, so I can understand it contextually. I'm currently brushing up on my Spanish on Duolingo.

German and Dutch I understand considerably more than Japanese (because they're Germanic), but they're still incomprehensible to me on a school level. Japanese I only know some words and phrases, I cannot speak it. I tried learning hiragana and katakana some while ago but my patience ran out ^^'

I'm currently learning French and Finnish on Duolingo, but don't worry, I won't try to make any translations from those languages (yet), I'll leave that to the veterans.
