ミスター
Mr.
In a single-size room
All alone
I remember my daily life with you
The scene of the story
Sets in a crowd of buildings
A seaside town
with a big city by far
It was the day we met first
Even now, I still remember it well
Formal shirt and jacket
Didn't match with you
With few words
You've always been scolded for being strict
Helplessness enveloped
My mechanical mind
But,
I wanted to know you
I wanted to know everything and anything
But I taught you
Without saying a word
To slowly pray alone at night
I want to understand, even a little bit
I keep repeating all these days
However, you showed sometimes
This kind expression
You shed a tear only once
You couldn't hide it and you spilled it
That was kindness
So was it that day
That was our last memory together
In the darkness, hold that hand back
You smiled at me
You're no longer here
But now, I want to hear you
I want you to let me hear you once again
You, which are nice and clumsy,
Your harsh voice,
I badly hope to hear it...
What's the name of this feeling?
One more time, as usual,
Give me a scolding, Mister

Give a shoutout to cheune
Author's comments:
The song is based on the story Watashi Dake no Shoyuusha (私だけの所有者, "My only owner"), written by Rio Shimamoto. The story is the first of the four stories fom the novel collection "Hajimete No" (The First Time I...), published the same day as the song.
This collection, made in collaboration with YOASOBI, groups four stories written by Naoki Prize-winning novelists together. The main theme of the novels is "a story to read when you first did". These stories will be transposed into songs by YOASOBI.
The story is a letter from a Android Boku, writing to his owner Mr. Naruse about their relation, and how he fell in love for the first time with him.
