However others, including me, will always remember the main title of the highly acclaimed movie 'Z' (Costa Gavras, 1969) . the film presents a thinly-fictionalized account of the events surrounding the assassination of the democratic Greek politician Grigoris Lambrakis, a friend of the composer, in 1963. The film's title refers to a popular Greek protest slogan (Greek: Ζει, IPA: [ˈzi]) meaning "he lives," in reference to Lambrakis. (Widipedia).
