To biel jest może najpiękniejszą z barw
Gdy nocą spod Księżyca rzęs
Płynie na łąki pierwszy śnieg
Nim igliwia sierść poczuje szron
Nim świt usłyszy dzwonki sań
I znajdzie pierwszy ślad
Ty spójrz na biel, na nieobjętą biel
Jej moc, jej blask podpowie Ci
Że biel to Bóg, bezkres, bez czas
Podziwiaj ją, bo jest
Bo jesteś (x2)
Jeżeli ten, na kogo czekam
Przyjdzie teraz- co zrobię?
Dziś rano ogród w śniegu
Tak ładny bez śladu kroków.
Whiteness
It’s the whiteness which is perhaps the most beautiful hue,
When from under the Moon’s eyelashes, at night,
Streams on the meadows the first snow,
Before the needles’ coat will feel the hoarfrost,
Before the daybreak hears the sledge’s bells,
And finds the first footstep.
Look upon the whiteness, the unlimited whiteness,
Its might, its gleam will whisper to you
That the whiteness is a God, limitless, timeless,
Adore it, because it exists,
Because you exist (x2)
If the one I am waiting for
Does come now- what should I do?
This morning the garden is covered by snow,
So beautiful without the footsteps.
