А я, простите за непросвещённость, хочу спросить: "А кто этот Веллерман?"

I btw, I would "thank", but I'd feel uncomfortable in a company of 18(at this point) guests

Wellerman - "Человек Веллеров", если дословно. Производное от имени собственного, которое тоже является именем собственным. А если не им, так жаргонизмом, который тоже переводить не следует.
