Rain
Rain

This song is really, really dense and I felt like I couldn't get everything in the song into my translation. This was a tough one to translate.
* This line is a little bit weird for me. In Japanese, it kind of gives me the impression that the erasing is done for the sake of someone else.
** The written lyrics say hari (針; needle) it's sung as tokei (時計; clock). I figured the two could go hand-in-hand in a way since the hands of a clock resemble needles.
*** The written toki (時; time) is sung as shunkan (瞬間; moment, instant, split second). So maybe it's like the time lost was only a really short instant.
**** The written lyrics say kako (過去; the past), but this is sung as kinou (昨日; yesterday) instead. I think of it as the past all the way up until just yesterday that the narrator remembers.
***** The sung sora (空; sky) is written as uchuu (宇宙; universe).

While I'm pretty sure the translator has a sound understanding in the original language, there are translation errors, for examples:
For "The peace of the waxing midday moon showed tears of the rain's melody", - the "peace" did not show tears, the "moon" did, and "to" the "rain's melody".
"I continued to paint with my torn off finger and I started to forget the sun's dream"
I continued to paint...the sun's dream, which I began/was beginning to forget
"Like a budding flower, the wind gathers my figure in the earth's bow"
"The wind" is not "like a budding flower", I believe "my figure" is, so the correct translation would be "The wind gathers my figure that's like a budding flower in the earth's bow."
Etc.
