Fly
Fly, my soul, fly the way you feel like
Please find her, find my sweetheart
So that love could sprout in my heart again
Fly, my soul, fly the way you feel like
Please find her, find my sweetheart
So that love could sprout in my heart again
We're in a ruthless world, seeking true love,
Even though we cling together, we've been losing our faith
In a game where who blamed who makes no difference
We put the kibosh on everything we cherished so much
How to forget about the past when it's so off-putting
But, my soul, find me the one who's gonna mean the world to me
And when I get to meet you out of clear sky
I'll give my eyeteeth for you
But, meanwhile
You're putting me through the wringer
But I'm not getting in deeper with you
It hasn't gotten off our tail
Love pushed us over the edge
But, meanwhile
You're putting me through the wringer
But I'm not getting in deeper with you
Only the one who throwed us together
Took us away from each other
Fly, my soul, fly the way you feel like
Please find her, find my sweetheart
So that love could sprout in my heart again
Fly, my soul, fly the way you feel like
Please find her, find my sweetheart
So that love could sprout in my heart again
You know, I've been
Searching for you for oh so long.
As if the light has gone out of my eyes
Without you, without you.
But, meanwhile
You're putting me through the wringer
But I'm not getting in deeper with you
It hasn't gotten off our tail
Love pushed us over the edge
Fly, my soul, fly the way you feel like
Please find her, find my sweetheart
So that love could sprout in my heart again
Fly, my soul, fly the way you feel like
Please find her, find my sweetheart
So that love could sprout in my heart again

eyeteeth - ну и словечко! Буду знать!
"tail" тоже звучит забавно.
Hahaha, thanks! Idiom/Phrase madness I guess :D
Tail/Back they mean the same, I just decorated it a bit
You used slang liberally, but I can't say how the original sounds, so feel free to disregard my remarks.
put the kibosh -> I suppose "Обнулили" is a bit weird too, but such heavy slang does nothing to improve the mood, in my opinion :)
out of clear sky -> I'm rather familiar with "out of a clear sky", "out of the clear blue sky" or "out of the blue", but that rather implies the surprise is not a pleasant one, if I'm not mistaken (it's about a storm breaking out or a lighting strike).
I'd give my eyeteeth -> I'm not quite sure it works for "I'll lay down the world at your feet". As I understand it, it's rather used when you're ready to do anything to obtain something.
putting me through the wringer -> Again it's colourful but I don't think it's about putting pressure on him or torturing him. He rather follows her like an obedient dog, as far as I understand it.
getting in deeper with you -> that would be "getting more involved with you" (possibly in a bad or troublesome way). Not quite the same as "drowning to the bottom". What about "I won't let you drag me to the bottom" or something like that?
Hey! Welcome back!
Out of clear sky = "Suddenly" simply means "Like a shot" but "Out of the blue" on the other hand, as you said, it's something totally unexpected, and in addition, if he encounters someone that he's willing to love so much, wouldn't that be an "Unexpected" situation? Don't know, lyrics are broken as hell! At least not as meaningful as we expected :D
"I'll lay down the world at your feet" = Was just a thought! Like, he'll give anything to her, do anything for her, I sensed a "Heroic" vibe there, that was why, like even his "Eyeteeth" is no big deal for him :D
"Putting me through the wringer" = is actually ALL about torturing, but if the second thought of yours is correct, I'll be more than welcome to change it that way!
"Getting in deeper" = Hmm, if you get "In deeper" means like a troublesome way as you said, these are all idioms.
"I won't let you drag me to the bottom" = Truth be told, I didn't want my translation to have the exact same words like the other translator used, so I tried to go with other variations and got a meaning just like you said.
I'm quite ok with a bit of creativity. It's just me trying to test and improve my English, not to mention my flaky Russian :)
Ah, we're all learners here man!
And uh, since I've been livin' in the U.S for almost a decade, I can surely say that me doing these kind of things is not for them learners and totally wrong, those who're trying to learn English through Russian I mean. I'm adding a lot of "Vulgar Slang" and all, and even sometimes, some Native Americans are doing a research to understand some of these words :D
Кстати, в конце она его на дно все-таки утащила. Переводчики, обратите внимание!
Волфи, а как бы Вы перевели на русский "Out of the blue and into the black" (https://lyricstranslate.com/en/Neil-Young-Hey-hey-my-my-black-lyrics.html)?
"внезапно" the other could mean: "Into a financially good condition" = "В хорошем финансовом состоянии" maybe?
Вроде не очень подходит. Я понимаю, что здесь игра слов.
Даже если так, они будут действительны только для английского языка
