Aurinko
Sun
How will I know if we're already there
Should I go on or are we already lost
How can I feel it if I find it
How will I know happiness when I walk by it
Guide me, Sun, I'm afraid of the dark
Burn away the distress already, I long for life
Show me the way, Sun, to your new morn
All this grief and harm evaporates to your wind
Guide me, Sun, during the times when I can't see
Burn away the distress already, I want you in my life
Show me the way, Sun, to your new morn
All this grief and harm evaporates to your wind
I'm not really able to close my eyes no more
I open my heart and stay waiting for your morn
As I get to see the blue skies again
It'll remind me how grand everything small is
Guide me, Sun, I'm afraid of the dark
Burn away the distress, I long for life
Show me the way, Sun, to your new morn
All this grief and harm evaporates to your wind
Guide me, Sun, during the times when I can't see
Burn away the distress, I want you in my life
Show me the way, Sun, to your new morn
All this grief and harm evaporates to your wind

Kommentare des Autors:
I wish I could make it rhyme, but that'd require some poetic freedom and I tried to stay faithful to the original interpretation.
Notes:
The Finnish passive form "ollaanko jo siellä" ("are we there yet") doesn't really work the same way in English. In the form 'ollaan' the experiencer is not necessary to be mentioned, but it can also informally refer to 'us'.
'Jaksaa' is a complicated word in Finnish. It translates to 'be able to do sth' and informally 'feel like doing sth'. So "en jaksa ummistaa silmiäni" is like "I'm not able to close my eyes or just don't feel like it anymore".
