just asking as it is understood translating/interpreting are different and tricky

Indeed, "J'ai" means "I have", except that in this context, after listening to the song I realized that "J'ai" was just a kind of a short repetition of the next line which is "J'aimerais". So when you listen to the song you can hear:
"[...]Laisse moi tranquille, j'ai..............j'aimerais qu'il[...]"
But otherwise you're right, "J'ai" means "I have" :-)
