Steh auf

Get up!

Today is a beautiful day
Colorful kites are flying in the sky
Boats are swimming on the lake
We could do so many things
We don't want to miss anything out
Or let things pass
But you are just laying
on the wet bed

Get up!
Get up again!
Get up!
Get up again!

Don't just lay there, what a shame
Circus is in the town today
Show me all the animals please
Get me ice cream and lemonade
We don't want to miss anything out
Get up, let's have fun
But you are just laying
Eyes open, cheeks pale

Get up!
Get up again!
Get up!
Get up again!

Why do I have to wait all the time
Why do I have to cry all the time
Why are there black holes
On your arms, on your legs

Mommy, get up, wake up again

Get up!
Get up!
Get up again!
Get up!
Get up!
Get up again!
Get up!

Get up!

First: Thank you, friend. ? I thought I misheard shit.

Second: I think “wet” where you commented might just be a reference to either sweat, urine, or some combination thereof.

Although, in English, referring to someone as “wet” can have entirely different implications, but I don’t know if that context exists in German as well. ??‍♂️ Either way, the phrasing feels vague, and given that this is Till Lindemann, that was probably intentional anyway.

Hi! Thank you for your comment.
Yes, I felt that "wet" is not the best solution, I also believe that it refers to urine, or something like that, but I just couldn't come up with anything better.

Drachen -> could be dragons, but kites are more likely :)
on the sky -> "in the sky"

Why are there the black holes -> I'd say "why all the black holes" like the German, or "Why are there black holes"

“Dragons” wouldn’t be a poor fit either, at least for an English translation; the text feels drug-related to me, and we got a phrase in reference to addiction that more or less amounts to “chasing the [whatever-colored] dragon.” ??‍♂️ I just don’t know if that one’s jumped the language barrier or not.

Hi, what are the black holes a metaphor for?

track marks, i think, this whole song seems to be about a kid who lives with his drug addict mother and wants to do all of these things, but his mom is always out of it and unable to take him anywhere

That's exactly what I thought about it, thank you. :)

Another interpretation:
The mother is lying dead on her bed -> "du bleibst einfach liegen, Augen offen, Wangen blass"
The wetness is her blood and the black holes are stab wounds.

“please give a better idea for that“
I believe it’s an idiom, meaning wet like a wet rag, limp etc.
