The translation is decent, but some wordplay/double meanings/biblical references get lost in translation:
1. בראשית - the translation is correct, but it misses the biblical reference - the first association that comes to the mind of a native Hebrew speaker upon hearing this word is the book of Genesis, the actual/literal meaning comes only later.
2. אדם - means both 'person' AND biblical Adam.
I am too tired to think of a proper solution to these, but since you asked for thoughts, here you go.
Other than that, I think you did well. The register in English matches that of the original Hebrew, as it is poetic but without sounding forced, well done!
