Singing (mostly folk or traditional Scottish/Irish but have sung traditional songs in other languages (French, Italian, Spanish, German) and sung in amateur opera and musical productions too). As a clarinettist I can't accompany myself when singing, so usually find a partner or sing without accompaniment.

Many years ago I began to set up a website of Gaelic poetry and song, and a couple of things actually got put into it during a period whem i had no free time (too much work) and the provider of the webspace went bust and was taken over by someone else before I spotted what was going on. So suddenly I couldn't access the content I had provided (there wasn't much,so not a problem). Then people trying to maintain everything that was ever on he web jumped in, so that my min-web (I have to call it that because it was almost empty) was still accessible (read only, of course) for quite some time at various other addresses which appear to have been hijacked for other use now. Latest status: it's now (July 2020) apparently reappeared at least in part (perhaps 8 years ago) at a new address (http://www.geocities.ws/Paris/LeftBank/4843/index-2.html) but I don't know whether it will be hijacked again or if I can add stuff to it.

Born 1944, Mathematician, Computer Scientist, Engineer; retired 2009. 3 sons, 1 daughter (who died of cancer in June 2012). 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson. Scottish, but currently since late 2009 splitting my time mostly between England and Spain, and spending as much time as I could in Spain before that (since 2005). A widower since Jan 13 2019.
