Ständchen

Leise flehen meine Lieder
Durch die Nacht zu dir;
In den stillen Hain hernieder,
Liebchen, komm zu mir!

Flüsternd schlanke Wipfel rauschen
In des Mondes Licht;
Des Verräters feindlich Lauschen
Fürchte, Holde, nicht.

Hörst die Nachtigallen schlagen?
Ach! sie flehen dich,
Mit der Töne süßen Klagen
Flehen sie für mich.

Sie verstehn des Busens Sehnen,
Kennen Liebesschmerz,
Rühren mit den Silbertönen
Jedes weiche Herz.

Laß auch dir die Brust bewegen,
Liebchen, höre mich!
Bebend harr' ich dir entgegen!
Komm, beglücke mich!

Serenade

Silently my songs beg
Through the night to you;
Down into the quiet grove,
Darling, come to me!

Whispering, slim treetops rustle
In the moonlight;
The hostile eavesdropper's ear
maid, fear not

Do you hear the Nightingales singing?
Oh! they implore you,
With the sounds of sweet laments
They Plead for me.

They understand the bosom's longing,
Know love's pain,
Stirring with their silvery tones
Every soft heart.

Let them also stir your breast,
Darling, listen to me!
Trembling I awaited
you.
Come, make me happy!

Thanks for translating! :) Here are some suggestions:

"Down into the quiet grove" or "Down to the quiet grove"

"Whispering, slim treetops rustle"

You left out "Lauschen:" Literally, "The betrayer's hostile listening/fear, comely one, not." But it needs a lot of work to sound right in English. Maybe something like "Comely maid, fear not/The hostile eavesdropper's ear." Or, "A treacherous, overhearing ear/Comely maid, you need not fear."

"Do you hear the nightingales singing?"

"They plead for me"

"Know love's pain"

"Stirring with their silvery tones" (less literal but more idiomatic-- or, just "stirring with silvery tones")

"Let them also stir your breast" (definitely talking about chest/heart, not breasts, here)

You left out "Bebend." "Trembling, I await you"
