Ein sat hon úti: Refers to the Norsme term and sacred profession "Utsieta"; "To Sit Outside". A pagan meditative "Vision Quest" practice performed during nights at crossroads, mountain peaks, caves or burial mounds.

Óðinn: Óðinn derives from the word Óðr, meaning "spirit", "poetry" or "frenzy", and the suffix -(h)inn, which signifies "the". Thus Odin mean and is The Spirit, The Poetry and The Frenzy.

His brother aspect Vé means "Sacred Space", as in sacred grove, a temple, a shrine or a sanctuary, as well as "Awe".

His third brother and aspect Vili means "Will", as in intent and passion. The three and names of Odin, as well as the trinity of Odin and his brother aspects provide an original mould for other male Æsir - all of whom, despite individual differences, will fit into one of the three basic functions of Spirit, Poetry/Awe, or Frenzy/Will/Intent. Odin alone encompasses all three functions.

Mímir: Memory:The proper names Mímir and Mim present difficulties for historical linguists. However, the most generally accepted etymology amount philologists is that Mímir stems from a reduplication of the Proto-Indo-European verb *(s)mer-, meaning 'to think, recall, reflect, worry over' (compare Sanskrit smárati, Avestan hi-šmaraiti, Ancient Greek mermaírō, Gothic maúrnan).

Thus the names Mímir and Mim are therefore likely ultimately related to the modern English word 'memory' and its associated concepts.

Mímis brunni.: Well of Memory: is a well associated with the being Mímir, located beneath the world tree Yggdrasil. Mímisbrunnr is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. The well is located beneath one of three roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, a root that passes into the land of the frost jötnar where the primordial plane of Ginnungagap once existed. In addition, the Prose Edda relates that the water of the well contains much wisdom, and that Odin sacrificed one of his eyes to the well in exchange for a drink.
