Jørð

Jarðarbotnur
hálar í ættirnar
Rekandi vatn
Silvurhav
veksur í náttini
Blikalogn
Glerstoytt jørð
Glerstoytt jørð

Bláur kuldi
nertur við vatnskorpu
uttan ljóð
Jarðarbundin
skelvandi stígi eg
á frysta grund
Glerstoytt jørð

Syftist
úr brotunum
tregaleys
Víðskygdur
máttur
eg blundi
og síggi meg sjálva
Og kenni meg
reivaða í kvirru

Har havið
kølir mítt skinn

Eg kenni meg
reivaða í kvirru
Eg kenni meg
reivaða í kvirru

Earth

Soil
pulls in the directions
Flowing water
Silver ocean
grows in the night
Dead calm
Iced earth
Iced earth

Blue coldness
touches water's surface
without sound
Earthbound
trembling I tread
on frozen ground
Iced earth

Swings
out of the breaks
sorrow-less
tolerant
force
I doze
and I see myself
And I feel myself
swaddled in silence

There the ocean
cools my skin

I feel myself
swaddled in silence
I feel myself
swaddled in silence

Hey! Very good job with the translation. I had a couple of thoughts, would love to discuss them.

For jarðarbotnur, I believe that she is referencing the core of the earth. I was looking up the word botn in dictionaries and saw that it's used to describe the bottom or the most lower part of something, which in this case could mean the center/core of the earth.

Also, Syftist in this context I believe that she is referencing when the sea is more aggressive, maybe raging or something similar would fit better. Especially since she then talks about the breaks of the sea.

Lastly, with Víðskygdur, it's more about something being far, farsighted, etc. Maybe infinite or vast would be a better word for it.

Again very nice, it's a beautiful song and you helped get it more easy to understand!
