Расстилается душной стеной,
Леденит тающий свет мертвой луны.
Тихий стон черных ветвей
Отзывается в бездне небес,
Пеленает в вязку тьму шепот...
Стелет дымный сизый мрак
Мне под ноги палый дерн,
Сеет ночь багряный прах
По тропе моей.
Кружит марью, словно сон,
Хоровод теней.
Прелой травой пахнет слепящая темь,
Дышит горечью зыбкая хмарь,
Гулким эхом доносится голос -
Следуй за ним,
Оставь за спиной терпкую мглу.
Слушай покой,
Сей по ветрам дней ушедших золу...
Стылый сумрак в бледной хмари
Травы утопил,
В рассветной дымке тихим плачем
Пение могил...
В тревожной тиши
Слышен скорбный пронзительный звон,
И туманит мороком вновь голос -
Следуй за ним,
Оставь за спиной терпкую мглу.
Слушай покой,
Сей по ветрам дней ушедших золу...

Impenetrable fog
Spreads out like a stifling wall
Chilling the fading light of the dead moon
The quiet moan of black branches
Echoes in the abyss of skies,
Wraps a whisper in thick darkness.
A smokey, livid mirk
Strews brushwood under my feet,
The night sows blood-red dust
Along my path.
A round-dance of shadows
Whirls like a mist, dream-like.
The blinding darkness smells of rotten grass,
The rippling gloom breathes bitterness
A voice is heard echoing loudly:
"Follow it,
Leave the harsh haze behind.
Listen to peace,
The ash of these bygone days in the wind.
The cold twilight drowned the grass
in pale gloom,
The singing of graves, like a quiet weeping,
In an auroral haze.
In troubled silence
A shrill, sorrowful sound is heard
And a voice again is clouded with gloom:
"Follow it,
Leave the harsh haze behind.
Listen to peace,
The ash of these bygone days in the wind."
