Niemals
Never

This is clearly one of Vanessa Mai's better attempts on her most recent album SCHLAGER where she is trying to get away from her Schlager music roots and image. Niemals is a pop anthem for a realistic (and perhaps still romantic) approach in love matters where love is not a thing between the two extremes of "for always" and "never" but in between those two.
*1 (to be promised to another person). Not necessarily meant in an engagement sense but rather all former love interests she committed herself to.
*2 In German this is a play on words between versprochen sein (to be promised to somebody) and the past form (versprochen) of versprechen (to make a speaking error). Basically, she is saying she promised herself too easily to somebody quite a few times and it always turned out mistake.

Commenti 1
"versprochen sein" to be "spoken for" (Promised to another) (English idiom/saying)
