Ingá

Festejo (literally, celebration) is a musical genre created by the coastal Afro-Peruvian ethnic groups, that arose from the influx of black slaves taken to the mines and manufacturing enterprises of Peru between the XVII and XIX Centuries. Even though the genre's origins are among the oldest in the New World (references to it exist from the mid-17th Century onwards), its name comes from the emancipation of slaves in the 19th Century, soon after the independence of Peru from the Spanish Crown on July 28, 1821.
