faux pas

法文字面的意思為"錯誤的步驟"。在社交場合中，由於缺乏經驗或缺乏技巧，不會見機行事而犯錯，導致了尷尬或冒犯的言論或行為。例如會議遲到，公共場合穿著不合適的衣服，都被視為此種“失誤”。
