Everybody in their places (not feeling like rebelion), a repetition of their fathers

Whatever it was, but this one, I'd understand them

We gotta "put it in ourselves" (keep it to ourselves), shut the mouths

You also keep acting like whatever you ain't

At least in this way we have a place in each other's minds

Behind this show which we have built from lies and culture

Regardless, they do whatever everyone in the city for a document

A sign, a proof

To understand who they are and where they are and what they believe in their heart8

About whatever they don't understand

I thought my thoughts, I went and hanged a bunch (I am experienced)

I say my words and at the end I get destroyed (lit. go to hell)

If you do not fear, know that you are going wrong

If you do not fear know that you are approaching the wrong fork

1. Possibly hints that the current generation is a "product of war and hatred" puts it.
2. There is no divinity
3. "The Shadow" is probably reminding his self that he cannot roam free and he is only allowed to live as long as he is okay with the tyranny and fears inflicted on them. One other interpretation is that, "The Shadow" recalls that fears and boundaries make a person, a person. He wants to remain intact and opts in with his fear (of God, law, morality, insanity or whatever).
4. Could hint to the previous verse where he slips to the water (tears of earth, can mean history?)
5. Tears of "Blood" as denoted in other tracks of the album. I am not sure, but tears/blood of the earth witness to the deeds of mankind is pretty much synonymous to "History" for me.
6. "The Shadow"s?
7. Probably "The Shadow" is talking to the host (main "Self") and saying that he cannot contain him here forever.
8. People search for signs and legal documents instead of searching in themselves to find their ideas, believes and else. They choose to put their identity in the hands of the governments/other.
