Kõrgel pilvedes kord lendas ingel enda teed
ja see tee, tõi ta mere kohale,
kauni poisi eest leidis ingel rannavees
ja kas tead, hakkas nõiduma ta meelt,

poiss põgenes eest ja nende vahele,

Angel
High amongst the clouds an angel flew on her way
And that way brought her above the sea
A handsome boy was found, by the angel, from seawater
And you know, she started to enchant his mind
She entwined a necklace and swirled the waves in the water
The boy fleed from them and between them,
When a couple of steps separated them from the sea
The wind brought them ashore from amongst seafoam.
He found hismelf there, a beautiful angel stroking his hair
and all faults were cleaned from the earthly waters,
It seemed so good and so the angel lost her head*
and painted long-known lines into the sand.
The wind blew off the clouds and the salt from the seawater
Stroking the heads of newfound lovers
The world was reborn from water and the angel got to know a man
and attained a (single) sweet earthly flaw.

*lost her head - metaphorically speaking, as in loosing ones sense of responsibility, loosing ones touch with reality
Fun fact - since estonian language has no words for describing gender in casual conversation (like he/she in english or er/sie in german) one can always imagine the angel as being male or ungendered.
