² Madò, short for Madonna, is an exclamation in both Neapolitan and Italian akin to "oh my god" in English, often used to express shock and similar.
³ The choice of the name of the subject of the song is likely not coincidental, with this line in particular being reminiscent of Gigi D'Alessio's "Anna se sposa" where the protagonist begs for his Anna to not get married to another.
