Wszyscy weszli do ciepłych domów,
zboże śpi w zacisznej stodole:
padają białe śniegi na pole,
padają ciepłe śniegi,
padają zaciszne śniegi,
aż się niebo opróżni, oziębi,
a ziemia sie napełni po brzegi.
Będą padały tylko śniegi białe
i śniegi różowe, a po zachodniej
zorzy ciche śniegi fijoletowe.

Jeder jetzt sein wärmend Haus aufsucht;
in stillen Scheunen schläft die Frucht:
weißer Schnee auf Felder fällt,
weicher Schnee aus Süden fällt,
Schnee, der still hernieder fällt,
bis der Himmel blank und kalt geworden,
und der Schnee lässt alles überborden.
Bald fällt nur der weiße Schnee
und der rosarote und von West
im stillen Abendrot der violette.
