Big things
And I can still remember,
it was early in the morning.
The pale moon high up in the sky.
I sneaked out the door quietly,
I still was a little boy back than.
I wanted to do big things for sure.
I ran through the field - hundred meteres- till I reached the wood.
With a bow and an arrow in my small hands.
Through the fog the sun was already shining,
and I could see spiderwebs
through the landscape.
Close to a glade,
I built a cottag,
out of the brushwood lying on the floor,
and I felt like a Native American,
I looked through the sticks,
ate some huckleberries.
I was free, nobody said anything to me,
I only heard the cucko in the distance.
And that´s how the day passed, ´till the twilight.
I felt I love this whole area,
´till the stars
To do big things, that was my biggest wish,
these big things little boys believe in,
win fights against evil dragons, save a princess,
and hit the neighbours´boy,
just imagine how shocked he would be.
And I still remember,
when it became evening,
I went back home, my Grandmother was already waiting.
She complained: "You are so dirty,
look at you, oh my gosh!"
but than she gave me a big portion of pancake.
To do big things, that was my biggest wish,
these big things little boys believe in.
In the meanwhile, well, let´s say everything seems more relative now.
But the pancakes, well I would like to have them,
they were awesome
