Blöder ihjäl

I svt program “Babel” (mars 2021) pratar Sofia Jannok om den här sången. I programmets intervju blir hon frågat hur låten kom till.
Hon svarar:

“Det här är en av de sällsynta låtar som bara kom när jag satte mig. Första "skrivdagen” jag hade, så bara rann den ur mig, precis som jojken kan göra ibland, att den bara kommer. Och texten bara föll sig med melodin. Den kom först på samiska och sen blandade jag med svenska. Och sen verserna tog mer tid. Der var mycket ute på skidor på kalfjället, som jag laborerade med text, och försökte hitta orden som bäst beskriver det som gör så ont."

Sofia Jannok talks about the song in an interview on the arts program Babel (March 2021, broadcasted on SVT). When asked about how the song came to be in an interview, she replied:
“This is one of the rare songs that just came [to me] when I sat down. The first "writing day” I had, it just flowed out of me, just like a joik can do sometimes - it just comes. And the lyrics just fell in place with the melody. They first came to me in Sámi, and then I mixed them with Swedish. After that, the verses took more time. It was far out, on skis, at the top of the mountains where no trees grow, that I experimented with lyrics, trying to find the words that best described what hurt so much."
