The second one I totally agree, I even would add "because everytime I insist..." to make it better. However, the first one I don't understand what you mean.

What you mean "Same with "... on your ego"? If you are talking about this part: "I passed by your fear, and I forgot your ego", would you suggest I put "and I forgot on your ego"?
