Snack

[Verse 1]
Do planks, planks, planks
If you want my body - do planks
Do push-ups, push-ups, push-ups
If you wanna be as gorgeous as me
If you want the dog and the Mercedes and a castle
And the house is Spain and a nice gilded1 table there

[Pre-Chorus]
Do planks, planks, planks
Repeat, repeat
Do push-ups, push-ups, push-ups
Mmhm

[Chorus]
Do you want the sky, do you want the moon
Well, start working out
So that it hurts, hurts, hurts
Do you want to beat the rest of them
Look me in the face
Sweat's dripping, dripping, dripping
Some day you'll be
A snack like me, me, me
Every day go the extra mile for it

[Post-Chorus]
Oh snack, snack, snack, wow
Snack, snack, snack
Snack, snack, snack

[Verse 2]
Look at my belly
Have you ever seen one fitter
Look at my tat
Does anyone make a tribal look as good
If you want all of this
These huge muscles
And a similar pile of free buckets2
And eternal happiness

[Pre-Chorus]
Do planks, planks, planks
Repeat, repeat
Do push-ups, push-ups, push-ups
Mmhm

[Chorus]
Do you want the sky, do you want the moon
Well, start working out
So that it hurts, hurts, hurts
Do you want to win over the rest of them
Look me in the face
Sweat's dripping, dripping, dripping
Some day you'll be
A snack like me, me, me
Every day go the extra mile for it

[Post-Chorus]
Oh snack, snack, snack, wow
Snack, snack, snack
Snack, snack, snack

[Refrain]
Some day you'll be
A snack like me, me, me
Every day go the extra mile for it

[Post-Chorus]
Oh snack, snack, snack
Snack, snack, snack
Snack, snack, snack

  • 1. A pun; kullittaa means to gild, but kulli means a dick.
  • 2. For some reason we Finns love free buckets. They are a common giveaway at stores and events, and people wait hours for them.

Wow this is so motivational. I have always wanted a pile of free buckets! Better shift my arse at the gym.
So in the first verse, with the pun about a gilded table, what is the double entendre? Can "hieno kullitetu pyötä" mean something like "nice dick on the table"?
And thank you so much for translating!

Great question! I guess "a pun" was a wrong word choice, as it doesn't really mean anything. However, I will say that I have never ever heard anyone use the verb "kullittaa" without giggling and smirking; people usually find other ways to describe the gilded object. Kullittaa sounds like you're using a dick as a tool to do whatever it is you're doing - and when I googled the verb, like 70% of the results seemed to agree with me on this, lol. There were a few genuine questions about antiques and gold mining, but... yeah. A less tongue-in-cheek of saying the same thing would've been "kullattu pöytä", but Antti being Antti decided to go with the dick version, haha!

Ahh ok! Lol of course he would go for that word in a song about being hotstuff.
